About

West coast child stuck on the east coast hoping to get back to the right spot on the beach.

I love the husband, kids & dogs and have a passion for books, color, fabric, music & running.

My iPod is an appendage.

My politics lean to the left & I suffer greatly for it. I’m the only liberal in my immediate family. I will never apologize for my views but I’ll not shove them down anyone’s throat either. Unless provoked. Goes without saying.

I have a habit of taking a book wherever I go; I haven’t learned the art of “just being”.

I have a hard time reading fiction although, I’d like to read fiction. I’m on a mission to read 50 10 fiction books before the year’s out. How am I doing so far?! Uh…I’ve read one. Since January. So, yeah.

I enjoy painting, working with my hands and creating “stuff” out of nothing but don’t like to call myself an artist. I’m working on those self-esteem issues.

I’m in my 40’s, married with two grown children. The boy-child perplexes me, the girl-child tries not to. The husband, the husband…perplexes, thrills, frustrates, amuses, kills and all-that-other-stuff-which-comes-from-a-25-year-marriages. It’s an ongoing process, this marriage thing.

I prefer to run in the mornings, in the rain, on a snowy day or with a partner. I can’t drag myself out in the heat, or the wind or when the husband thinks a 6 miler will do wonders for my perimenopausal mood.

I’m having more perimenopausal moods. I’m trying to cope without drugs and the family is trying to cope with me. It is what it is.

I could go on and on, which I often do. I’m working on that too. I’ll attempt the “just being” thing and stop now.

Et Puis….

On Tues November 6, 2007  I had an epiphany thanks to some very interesting women and decided to join the ranks.
