Buckets of Rain

Neko Case-Buckets of Rain

Buckets of Rain by Bob Dylan

Buckets of rain
Buckets of tears
Got all them buckets comin’ out of my ears.
Buckets of moonbeams in my hand,
I got all the love, honey baby,
You can stand.

I been meek
And hard like an oak
I seen pretty people disappear like smoke.
Friends will arrive, friends will disappear,
If you want me, honey baby,
I’ll be here.

Like your smile
And your fingertips
Like the way that you move your lips.
I like the cool way you look at me,
Everything about you is bringing me

Little red wagon
Little red bike
I ain’t no monkey but I know what I like.
I like the way you love me strong and slow,
I’m takin’ you with me, honey baby,
When I go.

Life is sad
Life is a bust
All ya can do is do what you must.
You do what you must do and ya do it well,
I’ll do it for you, honey baby,
Can’t you tell?

It’s that kind of day. Well, the buckets of rain part. The dogs aren’t going to be happy when they learn that their walk has been postponed again. Before you start to feel sorry for them picture me placating the 110 lb chocolate lab, it isn’t pretty. Feel sorry for me. Thanks.

I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning so anything I could possibly have to say isn’t conducive to a happy universe. I just wanted to surface and say hello because it’s been a while; I’ve been neglectful.

I’ll leave you with Neko’s twang. it’s too cute.

Muchos aloha my keiki. Enjoy the rain day. Love to all.

  1. Hm. Mine were insistent on going outside the dry area beneath the eaves of the complex. Fine with me, I grabbed an unmbrella. We went and I swear that I have never seen short tails tuck so far between legs in my life. My puppies don’t like the rain at all.

  2. Bear loves the rain, Georgie, not so much. It figures that the big dog would love it, he’s harder to wipe down after the walk .HUGE wet dog smell permeates the house after a walk in the rain. gah.
